PM sessions, Monday to Friday, 12:30pm - 3:30pm

Our 2 year provision room is split into areas to support the children's learning and development. In addition, we also have a large continuous provision area and extending play to the outdoors and access to the larger garden area and Forest School. Every child will have their own key person who will support their individual needs.

We have a structured routine to give the children opportunity to explore each area and to support their school readiness. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and follow the 'In the moment planning' to ensure that we follow each child's individual interests and plan activities to enhance their learning and development. Key workers will assess children's learning through observations and photographic evidence. These images can be found on Learning Journals. Parents play a huge role as educators and uploading your own pictures of your child to learning journals will help us engage with the child's interests outside of nursery. As a centre, we believe that children's progression and development is key to success.
Although everyday is different in our Rainbow Fish Room, our staff can happily talk to you about the wide range of activities and learning experiences your child will enjoy.

Rainbow Fish Room provides high quality day-care provision for children aged between 2-3 years, in a friendly and stimulating environment. During this session we provide age appropriate provision and stimulating activities both indoors and outdoors.
We promote healthy eating at Leasowe Nursery School. Our children can enjoy a self-served breakfast at 8am-8.45am as part of their daycare session. Our other snack times are at 10am and 2pm, offering children a chance to sit at a table and try different healthy foods. You can view our menu below:

Forest School is an inspirational process, that offers ALL learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees

Our Forest School is a wonderful place for children to learn. Weekly session are held for children aged 2 to 4 years. The sessions are run by qualified Forest School Leaders and children explore our forest area, climbing trees, splashing in mud pits, building dens, drinking hot chocolate and roasting marshmallows by the fire. It's a tell-tale sign of a good session when they come home a little muddier then when they were dropped off at school!
