Nursery School
Is my child eligible for a Nursery Education place?
As a Maintained Nursery School, we accept applications from families across the Wirral. All children are entitled to at least a 15 hour Nursery Education place. Funding will start the term after your child’s third birthday. Children start with us in September, January and April depending on their birthdays. To register your place, please contact us for an application pack

My child has special needs, can they have a place?
We are a fully inclusive school and offer places to children who have a range of additional needs and disabilities. The most important consideration when thinking about the right environment for your child is, as a parent, do you think your child will be happy here? We have very experienced and well qualified staff, fully equipped learning environments and resources. We aim to work in partnership with parents, carers and families to make sure all our children are happy, secure and have a learning environment and curriculum to meet their individual needs.

Does my child need to be toilet trained?
Most parents start thinking about potty training when their child is between 2 and 2 ½ years. So when children start Nursery School there is an expectation most children will be fully toilet trained. However, we understand that all children are different and of course will allow children to start Nursery School who are not fully trained. We will work with you to ensure you have all the support you need to become a nappy free household!

I need more than 15 hours of care per week; can I have more care at Leasowe Nursery School and Family Centre?
We can provide up to 50 hours of care a week between the hours of 8am and 6pm. Please contact us for more details.
2 year Old Funded Places
Any child who is eligible for 2 year old funding can apply for a 15 hour funded place.
